Los Angeles Man Has AdSense Account Terminated after Getting Face Tattoo That Violated Google’s Terms Of Service
By Zach Seemayer LOS ANGELES--– Local resident Tim Jones, 23, who runs his own humor website equipped with Google AdSense ads which act as his sole means of income, had his AdSense account terminated after getting a tattoo on his face that read “PLEASE CLICK ON MY GOOGLE ADS!” which is in direct violation of Google’s Terms Of Service.
“Well, according to Google, I am not allowed to ask anyone to click on my ads,” said Jones. “I figured that meant online. Like, on my site. I knew I wasn’t allowed to write “PLEASE CLICK ON MY ADS” above the ads on my site, but I figured it was okay to get it tattooed on my face. Now that my account has been cancelled, I’m starting to regret this tattoo.”
In Google’s Terms of Service, it is expressly forbidden for anyone to ask people to click on their ads. For many sites, the ads provide the only source of income, and people have to earn over $100 dollars to be allowed to get their money from Google, which many sites try hard to get, but often fall far short.
“I wanted to just let people know that the ads were really important for the survival of my site,” said Jones. “I mean, I love working on the site, but it’s a lot of work and I’m doing it for next to nothing. I just need to cover the cost of the site.”
According to Jones, other options for his face tattoo were “IF YOU CLICK ON MY GOOGLE ADSENSE LINKS YOU CAN HELP THIS SITE SURVIVE” and “OH GOD PLEASE CLICK ON MY GOOGLE ADS!!”
One thing that Jones is worried about is the recent controversial launch of Google’s T.O.S Enforcer-Bot, a blood-thirsty robot which has killed over 41 Terms Of Service violators since it’s release a few weeks ago. The project has not been terminated, and the police have been unable to charge anyone with the murders due to an obscure robot-related loophole in the law that we are unable to legally publish.
Jones has armed himself with several machine guns incase the killer robot comes for him, which he expects to happen any day now.
