Alan: Champion of the Tides and Flows of TIME By Lev Shtrikman Alan flicked the switch and the time gate opened. The temporal pathways were free and clear to assist in man’s ascension into greatness or something like that. Just then, twelve bullets shot out of the ring of ambiguous space missing the startled Alan by a mere thirty-two feet. “Someone? Someone is trying to kill me from the future?” he muttered. “I don’t know who. But?” Suddenly, Alan realized, “If they discover that I survived the attack, they’ll try it again and they might kill me the next time. I’ll just make them think they’ve succeeded in murdering me and then I’ll take an alias until I’ve figured out who vehemently hates me and then I could stop them.” “Okay, I’ll need a cloned body to fake my death” he said, as he moved towards the clonerrific machine of wonder. “I’ll send the clone back in time to die before I didn’t die and make them think I died when I haven’t died at all…but the machine wasn’t on at that time, so a wormhole is impossible because…wait this doesn’t make sense.” He stopped, and slowly looked around, before saying, “I’m just being paranoid.” He examined the bullets. “These aren’t bullets at all, they’re just matter pressurized into this metallic form by the stupendous fluctuating gravity of the device.” Alan felt very relieved as he stepped away from his desk, and also the secret deadly bomb strapped underneath it.
